Hardware Design Engineer (m/f)
Responsible for utilizing product development processes in hardware development from the draft stage to final product; perform testing on final implementation of HVAC control units; ensure through worst case analysis calculation, diagnostic, testing and simulation the functionality of hardware circuits, drivers, analog/digital I/O, control algorithms, serial and CAN interfaces; develop and provide technical support in data monitoring and data acquisition; collaborate with the customer to develop hardware specifications to ensure feasibility and optimal quality; collaborate with the software design department, test department and manufacturing personnel, using electronic test equipment and test software, to ensure optimal quality and efficiency in hardware development; utilize Worst Case Analysis calculation, test software to perform HW testing, PSPICE simulator, CADENCE tools, DV/PV concepts, 8D tools, DFMEA tools, soldering of electronic components, CAN bus communication, EMC layout distribution, printed circuit boards (PCB) technologies and instrument to perform measurement and testing to perform duties; perform technical tests with customers to verify engineering requirements are met; serve as the project team representative in customer meetings, and provide engineering support in the acquisition of new projects; and participate in multi-disciplinary team during development of product from concept to production to ensure engineering and hardware development concerns are addressed in early stages of design.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a HW Panel Engineer, as a Product Design Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Other Requirements: Experience must include five (5) years use of all of the following: Worst Case Analysis calculation, test software to perform HW testing, PSPICE simulator, CADENCE tools, DV/PV concepts, 8D tools, DFMEA tools, soldering of electronic components, CAN bus communication, EMC layout distribution, printed circuit boards (PCB) technologies and instrument to perform measurement and testing.
