Solar sensors.
BHTC develops and markets the appropriate solar sensors for all vehicle climate control concepts. The range of sensors extends from mono-sensors for single-zone and dual-sensors for two-zone systems to 3D-sensors for multi-zone climate control systems.
Mono-sensors have a single measuring cell and measure the solar intensity only, without taking into account the direction of the incoming solar radiation.
Dual-sensors incorporate two measuring cells and measure the solar intensity in terms of both direction (from the left or right) and strength. This provides individual control of the comfort level for both the driver and the front-seat passenger.
3D-solar sensors detect both the elevation and azimuth angle of the sun's position, and the solar intensity. In multi-zone climate control systems, this provides individual control of the comfort level at each seat in the vehicle. Vehicle contours that prevent sunlight falling on car occupants can be stored in the system's memory and taken into account.
