Our most important product group is electronic climate control panels. As the interface between the driver and the vehicle (Man-Machine Interface), they represent the control center of the vehicle's climate control system. The range extends from simple, mechanical panels to semi-automatic and fully automated control panels, which fulfill the needs of all passengers with two, three or even four-zone comfort levels. All control panels share the following features: ergonomically designed turning knobs and buttons, unambiguous pictograms and function symbols, pleasant "look & feel" and an easy-to-read night design provide extremely simple, intuitive operation.
In the background – completely invisible to the passengers – BHTC's power electronics products provide reliable control and fine tuning whatever the operating conditions. Linear and cycled output controllers for heating and air conditioning blowers ensure that the desired air quantity and intensity are produced. Control units for electric PTC auxiliary heaters ensure that in winter heat is available from the heater to defrost the windshield long before the engine has reached its normal operating temperature.
Climate sensors collect a variety of parameters, such as incoming solar radiation, air humidity and temperature. This information is then sent to the climate control panel, which automatically makes the appropriate adjustments to provide the desired level of comfort inside the car.
