Customized climate at each seat.
The climate styles we have developed simplify the customized setting of the automatic climate control system. The graphic design of the visualization has been conceived to provide fast and intuitive recognition of the climate control setting. New, high-resolution display technologies are used, which provide a form of presentation that ideally matches the situation.
Unlike conventional operating concepts based on symbols and LEDs, the visual presentation of the comfort styles allows the driver to emotionally identify with the climate control settings. The presentation is based on the intuitive recognition of the standard condition.
Today depending on the HVAC system incorporated in the vehicle, a customized climate control can be provided for 1 to 4 zones, i.e. for the driver on his own, for driver and front-seat passenger, or individually for each of the seats in the front and rear of the car.
With air volume control (AVC) – incorporated for the first time in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class – it is possible to set the temperature, the air volume, and the air distribution individually for each passenger with a gentle transition. User settings thus affect the individual seat only – the zones of the other passengers remain unaffected, so that maximum individual comfort is achieved.
