The BHTC climate sensors.
Sensors supply important input signals to control the level of climate comfort. The measuring point and the measurement accuracy have considerable influence on the quality of control provided.
In order to achieve maximum physiological comfort in the car's interior, sensor output values are normally processed by the software in the climate control unit.
For this to take place, the environmental influences and the technical data from the sensors – assisted by known human responses to them – are "translated" into an environment that is perceived by an individual as optimal. For car occupants, for example, who experience the sun shining directly on them, the perceived level of incoming solar radiation is compensated for by increasing the cooling.
