As a global business sector, the automotive industry expects its component suppliers to provide a continual local presence. Our involvement in the USA, China and India has been a major factor behind our success. With our global reach, we enhance our competitiveness and secure future growth.
Since 2003, we have been operating a development and sales center in Troy, Michigan/USA, and have a plant in Flora, Illinois/USA that has been manufacturing products for North American customers. From this base, our subsidiary BHTC Inc. supplies the entire NAFTA region.
Operating under the name of Behr-Hella Thermocontrol Shanghai Co., Ltd., we have had a wholly-owned subsidiary located in Shanghai, China, since 2004. Since February 2006, with BHTC India Private Limited, we have been represented in Pune, India, and as of September 2007 our company BHTC Japan K.K. will be operative in Tokyo, Japan. With the plants set up in Asia, we now cover everything from R&D to production, sales and administration locally in each region.
And in the future we will continue to grow with our customers and open up new attractive markets.
